Who is F. S.?

Who is this guy and why does he have a blog? Two excellent questions that I'll try to briefly answer.

My name is Samuel Austin Foss; I go by Sam, but I sign my posts with my initials. I'm a twenty-something male living in Columbus, Ohio. Naturally, I'm into video games, movies, computers, and the weird culture of the Internet. I capitalize Internet because I think of it as a proper noun and place. And it's a place where I tend to spend a lot of time. Probably too much.

The "Do Nothing Man" title stems from an early quest of mine to literally do nothing. Spoiler alert: it's impossible. But I've come close and I am happy to keep my self-titled moniker. It has spilled over into both Twitter and Reddit as my call sign. "Do Nothing Man" sparks images of a super hero who harnesses the power of laziness to fight crime and rescue beautiful women. Soon, this hero's story will be told.

As both a reader and a writer (blogger), I tend to encounter literature in many different mediums; I'm not talking about reading text from a page or from a screen, I'm talking about how I consume stories. The love of stories dominates my life. Stories motivate me, inspire me, terrify me, and challenge me.

That's why I have a blog: to share, discover, and tell stories.

Granted, most of the stories that I tell on here have to do with my experiences playing video games, watching sci-fi movies, or tinkering with my computers; however, I feel that all three provide ample opportunity for story-telling.
